- Anais Nin

Hello, I am Julia Malone (she/her) and I am an LMFT. I have been a therapist for almost 10 years and its an honor and a privilege to walk with you in your journey. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, be out in nature, go for a run, and buy more plants. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

I love working with...

I love working with adults and couples who are looking to work through anxiety, complex trauma, and relational issues. I really enjoy working with the queer and military community as well as parents.

Some of my favorite approaches include...

I use a client centered approach and incorporate CBT, DBT, attachment based work, and IFS. For couples, I use Emotionally Focused therapy and Gottman Couples Therapy. I really like to get a sense of the client/couple and figure out what could work best for them. As we know, the relationship between the client and therapist is one of the most important aspects of treatment so it is my goal to create a warm, safe, and trusting environment for you to work through some of life's biggest hurdles.\

How I help...

I have a modern approach where I value connection, transparency, and acknowledge the true aspects of being a human. Therapy does not have to be all serious. We can have creative, humorous, and fun moments as well.

I believe...

I believe we all deserve to be heard, understood, seen, and supported.

What it's like in session with me

In the first session we will talk about why you are seeking therapy, learn about who you are and what your strengths are, and figure out what your goals are for therapy. You will be able to ask questions, talk about concerns, and learn about how I work as a therapist.
